Here at The Skinny Caffe we are here to help partner alongside you in your quest to become a healthier version of yourself.

We will have frequent blogs that link to health and fitness and general wellbeing.

Whilst we recommend using our products as a part of a balanced healthy diet we don't suggest replacing meals with any of the products unless specified that it is a meal replacement option. 

For the best possible results and to see visible results fast we have put together a simple structure for you to follow each day.

Base your meals on starchy carbohydrates:
Starchy carbohydrates should make up one third of your daily food intake. However, to ensure you are doing this properly you can track your macros and ensure you are getting the correct amount of carbohydrates. Our favourite and recommended carbohydrates are; Rice, Pasta, Boiled Potatoes.

Don't underestimate the importance of fruit and veg.
Are you consuming enough fruit and vegetables? It's recommended to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables every day. But why not have fun when doing this? After all, it doesn't have to be boring! We love to consume a portion of 100% fruit juice (unsweetened) - theres one of your five a day right away! Why not try a delicious fruit salad bowl? Use natural low fat yogurt and chop up your favourite fruits within the bowl. The rise of cold pressed juices now see a fruit and vegetable smoothie combination. Are you brave enough to try this? We recommend Carrot, Kale, Strawberry Banana and Blueberries.

Include Fish in your diet.
Fish is a fantastic natural source of protein and also is filled with lots of vitamins and minerals. Aim to eat two portions of fish per week. 
We love smoked salmon and poached egg on top of a slice of wholemeal bread.

Cut down on sugar and snacking.
Reduce the sugar intake by snacking on sweets and chocolates and instead replace with a portion of fruit. After lots of research it has been suggested that you are less likely to crave food if your sugar intake is lower. Consuming high levels of sugar can lead to craving for even more sugar! We aren't suggesting not to have any sugar at all but just be careful and treat a chocolate bar as an occasional reward for hard work and progress.
We would also suggest cutting down on sugary fizzy drinks, alcoholic drinks, sugary breakfast cereals, cakes, biscuits and pastries.

Eat less salt.
Did you know eating too much salt can raise your blood pressure? People with high blood pressure are more likely to develop health risks such as heart disease or a stroke.
Try and avoid processed foods that have too much salt within.

Stay hydrated.
Drink plenty of fluids and stay well hydrated. We recommend consuming between 2-3 litres of water per day whilst undertaking one of our programs. Sometimes you may actually be thirsty instead of hungry so we would suggest having a glass of water to see if this holds back the urge to consume unnecessary snacks.

Move more!
Are you moving enough? The daily recommendation is 10,000 steps a day which is equivalent to 8km per day. If you are struggling to lose weight by adjusting your diet then we would recommend increasing your daily activity and at least try and hit 8,000 steps per day. A FitBit is a great way to track daily steps and just having one of these devices may motivate you to move even more than you would without wearing one.

Kick bloat to the curb!
Do you suffer with bloat? It sucks!
Bloat is a general abnormal swelling within the abdominal area. It can cause considerable pain and discomfort.
Our Skinny Tea program helps to reduce bloat and it also helps boost your metabolism so you will visibly look thinner just by reducing the bloat. By adding this to your current diet will help you relieve bloat but we would also suggest following the other guidelines in this article to assist with your wellbeing.

Don't skip breakfast.
Many people believe skipping breakfast may help them lose weight. According to recent research it has been proven that having breakfast helps people control their weight. 
We would suggest a low sugar cereal with some sliced fruit over the top of it.

Replace your cup!
If you are a fond coffee drinker we would like to suggest for you to replace just one cup per day with our weight loss coffee. Not only does it taste great but it has key ingredients to boost your metabolism and aids to a quicker fat burning process.
